... didnt wean me off and i wasnt sure if i was suppose to be weaned off. My headaches are so bad, that i cant handle the pain and am crying because its uncontrollable. I can hardly move my neck and im in severe pain, just touching my neck, any suggestions?
I took Soma for 5 years. It was NOT classified as a Narcotic back then. I went off of it because of side effects. Dizziness, severe memory loss, I was not weaned off of it or detoxed from it either. However, I felt no withdrawal which surprised me after that long on any drug! I am sorry you are in so much pain. Perhaps your MD would be willing to substitute a less dangerous drug. I would guess, although we are all very different, that your pain may be the original or authentic pain minus any medical relief. Ask your MD for something to substitute for the soma.Lots of fluids. Ice, then heat alternated every 20 minutes is the usual advice. If your pain is over a 5 on a 1-10 pain scale, call your MD. Ask for relief. If you have NO history of drug seeking behavior he/she should consider your request valid. You do not deserve to suffer this badly.
Until you find a doctor willing to prescribe, yes, consider switching MD's If he or she knew your pain history and did not prescribe a different medication to help you I would look around. Also, Advil can do wonders. It will not relax those muscles though.
