I just started taking it 1 pill at night to relieve severe neck/shoulder/cervical spine pain after having occipital nerve injection. It seems to help alot of the pain is gone, but some is lingering the next am. I also take meds daily for migraines. I have gone to a neruologist for 16 yrs. I have some 800mg ibuprofen left over from major ankle surgery 3 months ago, can this be taken with soma?
The ibuprofen rx shouldn't be a problem to take with the Soma. I was rx'ed Soma for years and also have Chronic Migraine. My Dr. said I could take up to four Ibuprofen pills at once (OTC) for the head pain and until my migraines became chronic, I often did.
My pain specialist doctor had me on Soma 350 mg., 3x/day for a while, although I usually only took it at night.
He switched my muscle relaxant over a year ago to Zanaflex (Tizanidine HCL) as
it is also used off-label for migraines/headaches. I responded really well to the Zanaflex and it has helped lessen the pain of migraine for me!
If the Soma you are on contains Codeine, that might be giving you rebound headaches?
Do you know which formula of Soma you are taking now?
