I don't think enough credit is given to natural methods of pain relief, such as physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, acupunture. Also anti-inflammatory gels such as ibuprofen based, and tiger balm is good also. And anti-inflammatory pain-killers, ibuprofen (which can be used in conjunction with paracetamol and codeine). Glucosamine is also good for joint pain. And regular exercise if possible. Hope you feel better soon!
