I have been taking solifenacin fro a few months Recently had shingles and was prescribed Amitriptyline to help with nerve pain Is it ok to take both drugs?
foxglove; There is a moderate drug interaction between these two which is pretty common and it's still okay I am putting down what they are and if you feel these more than after a few days of this combination let your doctor know. Most of them are more like the increase in side effects from the Amitriptyline hope this well do it. So again it is okay but if any of these show-up and doesn't go away let your doctor know. here you go.((
Applies to: amitriptyline, solifenacin (( so give them a few days and should get better but if it is to much call your doctor )) Chuck1957
Using amitriptyline together with solifenacin may increase side effects such as drowsiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, heat intolerance, flushing, decreased sweating, difficulty urinating, abdominal cramping, constipation, irregular heartbeat, confusion, and memory problems. Side effects may be more likely to occur in the elderly or those with a debilitating condition. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Also, avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.))))
