Ok so I usually get my lortab from walgreens but walgreens is no longer accepting my insurance (Express Scripts)which many other people not only me are experiencing right now.Basically anyone who has anthem can not go to walgreens anymore. That is at least what walgreens and my insurance company have said.Something do to a DEAL not being STRUCK.Back to the main question though.I have always taken the watson brand of lortab now the other pharmacy i transferred to is giving me the mallinckrot brand of lortab. So just wondering if some people have had a less effect than the watson brand and vice versa and I know this sounds insane but should be a very intuitive topic for people who are having the same experience as me or are presently taking the same medication as I am currently on.Thanks any respone would be appreciated.
So my pharmacy is switching me from watson brand lortab to mallinckrot. Is it the same drug?

Just adding that I have not filled the new mallinckrot brand yet.I just want peoples opinion that have taken the mallinckrot brand of hydrocodone. Thanks and I hope that this clears some of my misunderstandings by other forum members about this topic.
This is one of my biggest complaints and topics, brands. I think you will be fine with Mallinckrodt brand. The only way to tell is by taking them. To make this whole issue more confusing, I recently found out some drug makers have more than 1 plant, or maybe it's that they subcontract the drug orders out to various labs. So the people on the West coast may be getting the same brand meds but they're not made by the same Lab as the East coast people. Or something like that. I'm just grasping at straws for answers because I have noticed differences in brands for years. But Mallinckrodt may be quite good based on my experience. I look forward to hearing what you think. I hope you let us all know once you reach a conclusion.
I totally agree with my friend Thor283. I have tried different brands of meds & had different results. Some seem to be no difference in the effectiveness, & others I prefer a certain brand. I have found that the pharmacy I currently use which is CVS, will order whatever brand I prefer. The only way to tell if there is a difference is to try it. The main difference is the filler they use...
I would go ahead and get the 20 dollar annual fee walgreens pharmacy card for discounts on all of your medicines at Walgreen and then you will no have to worry about the insurance issue I know that I have use that I have used Walgreens exclusively for about 6 years no and it has saved me a tremendous amount of money there are even times Walgreens pharmacy card save me more money than insurance... i take the same medication 3 times per day and was also surprised when I picked up my medication and and it was a different color so I have researched and discovered that the company Watson was bought by another company there for the color of the medication changed. I hope that this response helps you i am by no means a professional on the subject
