... colon. A laparotomy was performed to confirm the diagnosis as the scope was blocked by the growth. He also had a colostomy bag placed at the same time. Post-operatively he developed a fistula of the small intestine which appears to have a high output average 500ml per day. How do we reduce the output of the fistula, what do you advise in the line of nutrition or anything else for that matter? We desperately need to close the fistula ASAP so he can regain his strength for probable chemotherapy
