whether a drug used for the purpose of having a good sleep can have a side effect on a pregnant woman
Of course everything you digest/consume/take will affect the baby (fetus), specially with certain medications, specially with sedatives and hypnotics.
Name the medication (s) so I can check what pregnancy category it has been given by the FDA.
Do not take anything unless it is prescribed by your Dr.
When in doubt, especially at night call a pharmacist. They will give you the precautions. Whether prescribed to you, a friend, or an old prescription of hers, use nothing new, even cold medications, until the doctor approves it. That includes in alcohol, street drugs as well.
Good luck on the baby and hope the pregnancy goes well for her.
