It's been 2 months with skyla. I haven't stopped bleeding or spotting. I have severe cramps during my entire cycle. Anytime I workout or use my abdominal muscles I always get cramping. As I am a firefighter I workout extremely hard multiple times a week. Can this have displaced my IUD? I also get severe cramping intermittently inbetween periods, to the point that I can't move. I am normally pretty tolerant of pain and it brings me to tears it hurts so bad. Is this common or is something wrong?!
I personally hate IUD's due to the mode of action but when I start reading stories about uterine perforation, dislodgement, pain and suffering it makes me hate them even more. IUD's are not particularly popular in Australia after a string of deaths and permanent infertility from a major US manufacturer about 30 years ago.
