My left index finger is peeling at the tip and is moist. The skin is also white and looks like I've been in the shower for a while. It also has an odor to it after i take a band aid off.
Keeping a band-aid on is like keeping your finger in the shower. It will be white and damp. If you want it to dry out, you have to use 1)--no band-aid at all or 2)--a band-aid that is loose enough that air can get in and keep the finger dry. Sometimes it looks bad, but you have to leave a cut or sore exposed because it needs to be in the air and dry out a little. That's just life. Sometimes you can use gauze to allow air flow or use a butterfly bandage to hold a cut together yet still allow air to get to it. You just have to get creative!

I recently got my hand cut by a knife. The cut was between my thumb and index finger about 1cm deep?
