Had a surgery 1 month ago, one of the cuts is red and weeping. Have Flagyl from a previous internal surgery. Saturday at 1am cant call doc till monday. Will this work?
I do not believe this is the right antibiotic for your condition. If this is a recent surgery, you could have staph, or MSRA. This is nothing to mess around with. Please go to the nearest ER ASAP. Levaquin or cipro is a much better choice for this kind of infection. You could be in for a long haul if it is staph. It is very common these days to pick it up while having surgery. Hope this helps, & do not wait until Monday on this. You ER will call your surgeon when you get there...
