I'm 24 years old. Last month I had an injury of neck femur fracture after that I got surgery of my neck femur fracture is operated with 3 screws. Could I walk properly after some time? And time duration for healing this fracture?
So sorry about your fracture! Your orthopedic surgeon should be able to tell you the approximate healing time and when you can bear weight on the leg.
It is not unusual for fractures of this nature to take at least 9-10 weeks to heal - and then if you are able to start physical therapy, with your Drs release to do so, you should be able to gain benefits and range of motion again slowly as advised by your physical therapist and your orthopedic Dr.
The most important thing is to follow your doctors orders and give the area time to heal and not worry about walking properly at this time. If you have access to physical therapy, they will help you with mobility and re strengthening of your leg. It will take time and patience.
