What is the dosage for this drug. My father took up to eight pills a day and the doctor wanted add more. Now we are told that he does not have parkinson. Now my father sleeps most of the time.
Hi, the dose that your father takes, 8 tablets a day, is where most patients are built up to. This is a 'normal' dosage. Narcolepsy isn't a known side effect of Sinemet, more often, it causes insomnia. I would discuss this with your doctor. & in the meantime please don't drive or do anything that could put you in danger whilst experiencing the Narcolepsy. I'm not exactly sure how long this medication stays in your system sorry?
