I do not want to go back on tramadol, because I know I was addicted, but I can't find anything to control my appetite, like tramadol was able to do. I have gained about 8 pounds in these two months
Hi, i know exactly how you feel!! I stopped tramadol after abusing it for about a year and i gained 21 lbs! I have started taking them again, but am sticking to the recommended dose this time. I am gutted about the weight gain. The only thing that worked was to exercise, i.e. power walk or riding a bike and cutting my food intake in half and cut out alcohol. Sorry that is not the answer you want but i have tried a lot of things and none have worked. But you may have a different metabolism to me in which case you might be more lucky. Let me know if you find anything : )
Everyone is so different. I have the opposite... I abused for 7 years, the last few up to 20 50mg tablets a day! It stopped working for me long before I quit, even at high doses, I took it not because of my pain (Avascular Necrosis with rt hip replacement) but just to be less sick! That being said When I quit the first time I started exercising and healthy diet, lost 67 lbs! I retired in 2004 from disability. Got in good enough shape that I went back to work at the start of winter and because of the cold and stress of working again I started low doses again (150mgs daily) My dear Wife ruled them with an iron fist... Tramadol kills my motivation, sex drive, makes me lazy as Jed Clampett's ole hound dog "Blue". I crave sugar and sodapop like crazy!! I've put on 20 lbs since November. Thankfully warm weather is close and I am on day three of quitting again. There's got to be a better way! The first year or so of my love affair with lady trampadol, she gave me loads of energy, thought I couldn't live without her, but she turned out to be such B***h... still is! There oughta be a law!! BTW I was clean for 6 months and low dose for approx 3 months. clean 2nd time 3 days & counting!! hehe!,
