These medications should not be used together unless a doctor has prescribed them both AND told you to take them together.

Norco and Percocet both contain an opiate (hydrocodone and oxycodone, respectively) and acetamenophen.

The two opiates together will cause more opiate side effects (sedation, constipation, etc) but the real problem is with the acetamenophen. Even at the suggested theraputic dose it can cause liver damage. Taking the two medications together will double the acetamenophen you are taking. If you are healthy otherwise and tolerate the acetamenophen well a single dose of both would probably be OK once or twice, but they certainly should not be used together often or for an extended time unless a doctor has specifically told you to.
