Today is day 3, been sick to my tummy, making myself eat some lunch now... if any one has had any of this how long does it last? Oh and I am out of control SLEEPY! I want this to work, I need this to work, I am keeping up with my food I eat daily as well. I am type 2 diabetic and my numbers are great any advice would be well appreciated!
Hello! What you are experiencing is VERY normal. I had a very hard time eating the first day. I was sleepy for a while. Eat protein before you take your pill. You might consider taking it at night for the first week. I took B-12 tablets when I started taking one Contrave pill in am and one pill in the pm. I also used non-drowsy dramamine (or bonine) for the dizziness/spaciness. All that stuff will go away. Many of the symptoms disappear within the first week. I did have the occasional hot flash and those lasted 5-6 weeks for me. But, they didn't happen all the time. The positive side to this medication is worth the side effects to me. Now, I have no side effects at all. I hope this helps!
jcoplen10;Everything you have put down are listed as side effects of the medication,iT DOE'S not say how long they last but with one of the main parts of this medication it is the same for people that take it and it gets better as you go within 2 weeks most of these side effects should go away I would say let your doctor know if it continues and you can't handle them. Also remember.this. Contrave should not be taken with high-fat meals because of the resulting significant increases in bupropion and naltrexone keep this in mind. I think it would be good for you to join the support group at the bottom of this page and see what others are saying. Are you taking any other medications? this might affect this medication also.but I would say most of these side effects well ware off.
