Hi I'm nervous, I have been on Zoloft for 7 weeks and I recently been getting sharp pains in my head and I'm scared it's something serious, but like 3 months ago I had a cat scan and Mri and everything was perfect I'm a 18 year old male
Last weekend I had horrible sharp pains that ran through my ear, jaw, cheek... It was incredibly painful and I was really scared!
If you can, take some ibuprofen, rub the area that hurts with Thieves oil (you can get it at certain organic/natural grocery or vitamin stores... It's very good for you) or even olive oil, and then lay on a heating pad or with a warm compress.
Your pain could be caused by stress or a sinus issue that you aren't even aware of.
That being said, if you've tried a few different kinds of relief and nothing helps, it never hurts to call your doctor. But since you know your scans were good, try to remain calm <3.
John; many people taking SSRI have these weird head zaps or pain. This is one reason to make sure you take your medication as close to the same time each day,And being you have had all these test try and remember that it is nothing to worry about also give the Zoloft another week or two where it well reach the full blood level when you feel these pains just know it is in most cases the stress, and you well make it. Think positive and breath slow and deep in and out to kind of calm you down but don't do it fast the key to the breathing thing is slow helps me a lot keep at it, you well get there,
Where is the pain in your head? Is it in temple area and kinda creates a triangle, from temple to nose/ cheek, back to ear or temple?
