I had sex February 2nd 2019 and February 3rd 2019 but I took Plan B. I had my period and today is February 19th 2019. I’m cramping bleeding brown or red discharge. I feel sick and I don’t want to eat. I also have lower back pain and abdominal pain. Is there any way I could be pregnant?
Yes, you could be pregnant, but those aren't typical early pregnancy symptoms, they're likely from the Plan B. You can have those, & bleeding & still be pregnant. The bleeding can happen as a result of taking Plan B.
Plan B isn't as effective as regular hormonal birth control, it's just worth a try in an emergency.
It just depends on if you were fertile when you took Plan B. If you were, then it may not work. It works by delaying your ovulation, until the sperm leaves you body. If you'e already ovulating, then it can't do that. Some think it works in other ways, & indeed it may, but the Manufacturer does not claim that. They say it's possible, but don't say it does, as it hasn't been proven.
In the situation where you're fertile, you may want to opt for the other emergency pill called Ella (Ulipristal Acetate) as it's proven to work in more ways. It's still just emergency contraception, though, & is also a huge dose of artificial hormone. I wouldn't advise using either of them regularly. They're just meant for total emergencies.
I wouldn't say you have a huge chance of pregnancy, from everything you've said, but I can't say there's no possibility. Do a test, & if it's negative, it's just a case of waiting for your hormone levels to get back to normal. You might want to give it another week before testing, just to give more chance of the test picking up the pregnancy hormone. It depends how sensitive the test is. The time it takes to rebalance hormones & get back to normal, differs for everyone. For some it's weeks, & others, months. During that time you could have irregular or even no bleeding, & hormonal side effects.
