Hi, I had sex with my girlfriend for the first time on Sunday, March 19th, 2017. I have ejaculated 2 times on 2 occasions but on the same day. Her previous period started on March 8th. I have used a condom for both but I did not know that I was supposed to leave a space for the reservoir at the tip. Although when I put it on I pinched the tip, but during intercourse I did try to get rid of the space at the tip by adjusting the condom (pulling it back). I came inside her and the condom seemed fine(though I regret not pulling out), but when I took off the condom I saw white fluid INSIDE the condom and it felt wet on the shaft of my penis. I'm very scared because it is also on her fertility period and I didn't know. Although we used a condom for both occasions, I'm not sure whether to get emergency contraception or not(its almost been 72 hours). I'm also very worried and concerned about what would happen to her health after taking it because I don't want to ruin her fertility with the side effects but I also don't want her to get pregnant. Thank you.
You ejaculated inside the condom, so of course there would be white fluid inside the condom.
Leaving half an inch of space at the end of the condom, when you put it on, helps prevent it from splitting. As the condom did not split, you have nothing to worry about.
It's worth doing an Internet search, to learn how to correctly use condoms & prevent accidents. For example, you should never try to keep going once you have ejaculated, as you risk the condom leaking as it becomes loose. Also, when you are going to withdraw your penis from her vagina, you need to hold the base of the condom onto your penis, to prevent the condom slipping off in side of her.
At the times of the month when she produces less lubrication, it's worth using a lubricant with the condom, to prevent it chaffing & splitting. It's also much more comfortable for you both.
If you want extra protection with the condom, you can use a spermicide gel/lubricant, which acts to kill any sperm that might escape.
Your girlfriend doesn't need to take the huge dose of hormone that is in emergency contraceptive pills. You have had safe sex.
