Yes, you can become pregnant despite your partner not ejaculating inside of you. Sometimes the fluid before he climaxes (the pre-ejaculate/pre-cum) contains sperm, or it is possible that he could mis-judge the timing of ejaculation and still partially ejaculate inside of you.
As you were having your period at the time of intercourse, it is a low risk time of the month to become pregnant. It is not impossible that this could happen, but it is very unlikely as you were only a couple of days into your period.
I would definitely NOT be relying on Andrew's Liver Salts to prevent pregnancy!
