I have severe social anxiety, I have suffered my entire life,I am on xanax 1mg 2x daily and 2mg at sleep plus valuim 5mg at 5pm and 10mg at 9pm and a 10mg ambien at 9pm it seems my resistance to drugs has increased. Or tolerance, my psychiatrist is good, but im an RN and know what to say to get what I want. Half the time im not sure if its me freely talking or my training and experience! I am honest with my doctor but in a clinical sense. I find myself having an anxiety attack before our monthly sessions because I review over and over what im going to discuss at our sessions. I was given 2 10mg librium I took 1 last night and had the best sleep in years, Can anyone relate or add any feedback?
I find this interesting.
I'm going to guess that since you have Social Anxiety, you feel more comfortable speaking as one medical professional to another during your sessions with your P-doc.
As to say whether your doing it to get what you want, only you can know that. (And possibly your Doctor) maybe he/she can see what your doing but doesn't find it a problem. idk.
Good luck in your endeavors.
