I got up this morning for work and went downstairs to get ready. As i was getting dressed, started feeling severe pain running from my lower right hip towards the top of my belly button. Now my ribs hurt. I ran back upstairs to my bed and laid down. Now, barely any pain at all except for when i straighten my body. What IS this??
I'm sorry but I'm not going to be of much help because it could be a thousand different possibilities.
You mentioned before work and running down the stairs.
It makes me think you are probably younger than 40 and this occurred 4 hours ago?
You should either be feeling worse or unchanged.
Fever would not be good.
Neither would be nausea, vomiting or even loss of appetite.
If you are NOT feeling better by now, I would call your doctor especially if you have a fever.
Hopefully, it's musculo-skeletal problem. You may have slept wrong or pulled a muscle last night.
I think you have 2 choices :
1- Call your doctor and give him a heads up their may be a problem. It's always better to be proactive because you can explain without pain or stress.
2- Observe for 24 hours. If it continues longer, call your doctor.
3- It's all over! However, if it is reoccurring you need to go to the doctor.
PS... It is probably not a good ideas to take NSAIDS or Tylenol because it will mask pain and fever. If it's intolerable, you need attention today!
kit; I am with Windchime on this the only way you're going to find out is to get into a doctor. It could just be something as simple as you slept wrong and pinched a nerve or something but you never can tell when you have not had this problem before. Anyway, you had better give your doctor a call and see how soon you can get into the office. Chuck1957
