... any way to lessen the severity & frequency of the cramps?
All of the following are side effects of Forteo: leg, abdominal or stomach cramps, back pain, muscle spasm, muscle pain or stiffness, chest pain or discomfort and nausea. They vary in how often they occur in people who take Forteo. I encourage you to call the prescribing Dr. and ask for advice on what to take for these cramps. There are things that help, but your medical history and current meds may rule some solutions out. You can consult your pharmacist to get you through the weekend because there are some over-the-counter products that help.

Note the way the effects are categorized. Keep in mind that you are most likely to have a few of the common side effects rather than the ones titled "less common" or "rare".
