I have fibro and for the last few days ive had severe fatigue im falling asleep constantly and suffering from severe headaches and dizziness my gp said that its unlikely to be any of the meds im on I've had a full blood count done it was normal also my brain scan not gave any cause for my migraines cluster headaches so what can my gp do to help me
Fibro has its own kind of headache. Mine was so bad I ended up taking physical therapy for weeks. Its the muscles in your neck and shoulders that cause the headache. There are 2 things you can do, bare ice to your neck, until its numb. Also stretching exercises for your neck muscles. I see a pain dr who injects those muscles with a long acting anesthetic. Are you on gabapentin or lyrica? How about something like cymbalta? No pain med will stop those headaches.
I am so sorry you continue to suffer so much. I've had headaches for 40 years and have not found anything to help except sleep. I appreciate that your GP said it is unlikely to be any of the meds you take, but I only use one pharmacy and I ask the pharmacist those questions since she has the doctorate in pharmacology and the powerful software, not the GP. Make sure you are not doing anything known to keep you awake, OK?. Don't try wacky things!
You say you have had these symptoms for the last few days? Is this something completely new for you? If so, and you have found no relief, I would just say that it may be only a "spike" and before you know it, you will feel better. I too have severe spikes in symptoms. When it is happening, I feel despair and wonder if it will end. It always does. Hopefully for you, this will also be the case.
