I had a severe accident in 2010, my right leg was crushed, actually amputated at the ankle barely hanging. I just found out that the osteoporosis is very severe and I have rsd. The doctor has put me on neurontin for the nerves. Can anyone tell me about this med from their experiences??? The commercials show its suicidual. Pls help??? Urgent!!! I haven't started taking yet, don't know if I should. I was disappointed the doctor took my somas away... Thanks... Carolina girl 42
Never never ever believe what you see on a commercial. They're from money hungry lawyers who want you to sue for everything. I'd guess 75% of us take it. Your somas are gone because they decided it needed to be controlled.
Most of us have had favorable results with the neuronin(gabapentin). Try it. It works for my nerve pain. It may make you a little drowsy at first, but you'll get used to it. If you have side effects you can't deal with you don't have to keep taking it.
Here is a link to reviews from patients who have tried Neurontin.
