this. I take 20 different meds a day some are twice a day but should i talk to my doctor about it and which doctor i have a few. I cant live without the meds and at this point i cant live with the side effects. Just say the doctor knows best or stop taking what i think i dont need?
Your primary care doctor should coordinate all your care. Be sure that ALL of your Drs have a current list of your medications. Ask your primary care Dr if there are any pills that you can stop taking or maybe some may need to be taken only when needed. It is hard for us to say because we dont know what drugs you are on and what your health background is but your PCP should be able to coordinate this for you if you ask him/her.
Always make sure that you use the same pharmacy when you fill your prescriptions. Ask to make sure your pharmacy compares your new meds to the ones you are using. That will solve the problem. The pharmacist are the ones that know meds interactions the best!
Good luck and take care.
