woen aged 65 with diabetic for more than 12 years
Your doctor would be better qualified to answer this question, but just the age alone sometimes is a factor in creatine being raised a bit. All our organs slow down some as we age. Diabetics are known to have some kidney function problems as it is related to the disease itself. A better indication would be the BUN & GFR also. It would be hard to guess without further knowledge of all the labs indicated... Mary
My creatinine is raised. How elevated is this? A bit is common. Dehydration is also a factor. It is easy to be somewhat dehydrated when more sedentary or less attentive. Care in controlling diabetes is important. The meds for Parkinson's and others may cause a raised level.
Are you asking out of curiosity? If there were problems the doc would be doing something. I know, mine pays close attention. Best ask the doctor as the others say.
