... depression during my pregnancy. I am 10 weeks along and am afraid of the risks. I know there are risks during the 3rd trimester but has anyone here taken/or started Zoloft when they were pregnant? Side effects? I really need to feel better but not at the risk of harming what is inside of me.
Your obstetrician has something we don't, experience to tell him its safe to order that for you. He wouldn't order something that he thought was going to hurt you or the baby. Sometimes depression can be more destructive than any medications when you're pregnant and after delivery. Its a very small dose that he ordered.
Your on a very low dosage. I was on adderall and Percocet my entire pregnancy bc they said the risks of me not taking them was greater than not taking them. They weaned me down and my son came out perfect. They will probably send you to a specialist neonate doctor during your 3rd trimester just to make sure. The specialize in woman who have to take medications during pregnancy.
