My dr won't reduce the mg of my seroquel. I am on 300 mg and I am so tired. I was thinking of cuting them in half and taking 150. Would this be a huge mistake or would I be ok to go down on my own?
NO, it would be a huge mistake!! The only way to safely reduce the dose is to titer it down under a doctor's supervision and besides, you shouldn't break up pills.
Does your doctor have a reason he feels you should stay on the 300mg dose? And how long have you been on it now?
No way alexxela; also you have down that it's Seroquel XR you never break a XR PILL FOR ANY REASON it is a timed release and you don't know where the medication is in the pill.Wait until the doctor helps you come down off of it or you well fell worse than when you started taking it Chuck1957
