Hi, cross! Seroquel has a half life of only about 6hrs. That means 6hrs after you take your pill only 12.5mg remain in your system, at 12hrs only 6.25, etc.
You have to take the full dosage every day to maintain a therapeutic level of the drug.
At the low dose that you're taking you'd, in effect, be going without any medication for almost two days.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed.

You must take it the way its prescribed. Its supposed to be taken daily. Taking it like that won't help you and you'll have more side effects. Do not worry about dependence, this drug has to be tapered down slowly and that's all there is too it. Its not an addicting drug. I personally don't get what the worry about dependence is. If you need a medication you need it. And you need to take it correctly.
