Could seroquel help with my Chronic insomnia and major depressive disorder. Have tried every ssri which only caused more anxiety? I sleep maybe four hours on a good night. Currently use lunesta , helps me go to sleep but can't stay asleep and wake up with horrible morning anxiety. Also take a fair amount of Benadryl along with the lunesta. Tried trazadone, amitriptyline.
Hi, i take Seroquel for BPD and it certainly helps me to sleep also. I take the XR version, so just one tablet at night. I am prescribed 200mg(XR) but this medication can be taken at lower doses to aid sleep. I have to admit that i'm not particularly a fan of it being prescribed solely for sleep purposes, but you mention your depression, so maybe it could be a good option for you? I would certainly say it's worth a try...
