My doctor professes to not be very educated in the mental health field. I am tired of living the way I do and she has put me on 50 mg of Seroquel to start until I can see a psych. I work 12 hour continental shifts. One week, 2 days out of the week, I get no sleep for over 26 hours. I will never be able to take my meds on a set schedule with the way my shifts are. Is it true I need to adjust to these meds and that it needs to be taken at a regular time everyday which my understanding is bedtime? Please help, so confused just beginning this medical journey
I was having the same troubles with not being able to take my Seroquel at the same time every night. As I spoke with my doctor he told me that we could split my dosage in half. So i would take half when I woke up, & then the other half when I was ready to go to bed. That seems to be working out pretty well for me so far! So it wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor about your options in my opinion.
Best of Luck!
