I had serotonin syndrome (poisoning) after taking Zoloft for years.I was ill with nausea ,muscle weakness and stiffness and excessive sleepiness. I went into seizures and sent to emergency room. Has anyone else had this happen? It has been 2 years and I am just now getting better. After quitting Zoloft, my IBS and other 'disorders' disappeared. I would like to hear from anyone who experienced the same.
hello, i believe i am having serotonin syndrome..i have been switched from one a/d to another the past 13 years..i recently quit my prozac after using it for six years..i've been on lithium and celexa the past 8 months and i just feel toxic. i started reading about this syndrome and it just makes sense to me, so i abrubtly stopped all my medications. i can remember a time in my life when i was med-free and HAPPY, without all the physical pains i have been experiencing for so long. i hope this helps. i know i'm in for several weeks or months before it's all out of my system but i am determined, with prayer and support from my loving family to do this... peace and love, sheryl
I've been off zoloft for over a month. I've tried prescription anti nausea meds, and over the counter gravol. Non work, I have been bed ridden since, I am to naucious to draw, read, write, go online, take a bath and even sleeping is hard. I'm an advid artist and my life is on hold.
If i show any emotion except sadness right now I get worse nausea and a bad headache in the back of my head near my neck.
I have a fast metabolism so If i take any meds they give me for nausea it hits to to the point I'm sleeping 24/7 not good for someone who has to eat 4 times a day or they get very ill.
I went on it for anxiety in 1999 its been 11 years.
Son far its ruiend my life.. I got off of it because it was making me almost got me hospitalized: intolerace to alot of foods, could not handle any warm or hot environment, more allergies, it dropped my blood pressure way to low, caused me to be over anxious and more...
But yeah it seems the nausea never goes away. I'm 28 and i lost my teenage years, my college years sick of being behind and in the waiting area of life.
Hi, I have just gone through ss syndrome and was wondering if anyone has any ideas how I can recover. My doc just gave me diazepam for anxiety and I took one and it gave me horrible anxiety as it was wearing off. Should I just take nothing at all or is there some supplements? Thanks.
