Hi, i found this dosing info that hopefully will help you;
Septra Dosing for Adults
The recommended Septra dosing for adults with normal kidney function is as follows:
Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia treatment -- dosage based on weight, taken every 6 hours for 14 to 21 days
Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia prevention -- one Septra DS tablet once daily
Urinary tract infection (UTI) treatment -- one Septra DS or two regular-strength Septra tablets every 12 hours for 10 to 14 days
Shigellosis or traveler's diarrhea treatment -- one Septra DS or two regular-strength Septra tablets every 12 hours for 5 days
Acute worsening of chronic bronchitis treatment -- one Septra DS or two regular-strength Septra tablets every 12 hours for 14 days.
Lower dosages may be recommended for people with kidney disease.
