My brother went in for a colon polyp removal. He was back in the hospital 5 days after being released with a leakage and sepsis. It has been 3 months and he is still in the hospital, after being shuffled from one acute to another. He has colostomy bag, a ileostomy bag, a tracheotomy, a j tube with TPN, he is so weak, the doctor comes in and says, oh he's doing great. He can't talk, too weak, can't write, it looks foreign to him, he keeps pointing to things on the wall (no one can figure out what he wants). Is there really any chance that he will walk, talk , eat again I go from hope to despair everyday
