Hello drjaffar - Simply put, they both are congenital (meaning at "birth") malformations of the penis affecting from where the stream of urine flows. "Hypospadias" refers to that opening of the urethra being underneath or underside of the penis. While "epispadias" refers to that opening of the urethra being on the topside of the penis.
