about a month ago I had extreme right side rib pain and now I have left side breast pain and right side chest pain, sometime alternates to left side, but whenever I lay on my left side its a really bad sharp pain and hurts to breath and sniffle, other than that its just really uncomfortable and its hard to swallow and to take a full breath and hurts to yawn and feeling of nausea.
I don't mean to make you feel stupid, but if your chest pain is even aggravated by a sniffle, I'd say that it's a no-brainer. You need to see a Dr. You could have something as simple as a broken rib, or you could be walking right down the the path towards pneumonia. At the very least, I anticipate a chest x-ray and blood work to look for signs of infection. Unfortunately, we can't help you with those kind of things on an Internet forum. At least try to get in with a local clinic that does payment plans or charges based on income if you don't have insurance... if $$ is a factor in why you haven't gone yet. It really does sound serious enough to have some sort of medical intervention. If you posted the question to need some convincing, then maybe some other folks can back me up or offer additional ideas. I wish you the best of luck. :-) Meggie
You didn't mention your age or any health issues.
It's been a month.
Is it worse?
You are not coughing anything up?
Do you exercise or do physical work or repetitive work?
You may have chostochondritis which is just an irritation of the muscle between your ribs.
It doesn't sound like an emergency but you need to get an official diagnosis by your doctor.
