Besides myself and the lab doing the test, who may see results?
Who is ordering the test? Is this for employment or is it for pain management or something like probation. The answer will be different depending on who ordered it. If it is for employment, what usually happens if something comes up positive, the MO (Medical Officer) for the lab will contact you to verify that the positive is a prescribed drug. If it is a prescribed drug then the lab changes the result to a negative and the negative is reported to the employer, in most cases. If the job is for a Dept of Transportation job, the employer may get the results on positives whether they are prescribed or not. If it is for pain management then the results will go to the ordering Dr to be put into your medical chart and anyone with access to your chart can see them (i.e. other office personel) If it is for probation, your probation officer will likely get a copy then it may also go into your court records.
