Dear Itsik12; The best anti-depressant I have ever used is Celexa.
Generic name: cilalaprom. I have been on it for 7 years and I feel like
it is my miracle depression lifter. No weight gain either, for me. Another
plus is - it's affordable price. I always reccomend to all who ask for help
choosing. I sincerely hope you give it a try, and that awful black cloud
goes away and you feel Happy again.**DD**
Hi- You not alone in your search. I have tried all the above. Have not tried Celexa but it may be a good choice for you. I do not tolerate SSRI's bad side effects 10 fold. Wellbutrin worked for depression but increased my anxiety, not good. So would not recommend if you have anxiety. I have anxiety/depression. I am also med sensitive.
I empathize with you spending all the time in bed only makes things worst.
Work with your doc. I have found it helpful to check with a pharmacist for any meds you take.
It is trail and error with what works for each of us. My next try is going to be Paxil as the reveiws say it works for depression/anxiety. It is one of the meds you love to hate because of the horrific withdrawls. But if it works I do not plan on getting off of it.
There is also Cybalta and Pristiq which I know very little about except they are expensive, no generic yet.
Hope you find something that works. My thoughts are with you that you may find some peace my friend. Remember you are not alone.
Deat Itsik12 I can relate to how you feel. It's awful trying to find something that works for you. At this point I wouldn't worry about your weight if you can find something that helps you. Try to get out of bed and make yourself get out of the house every day. Walking helps. I know you have no motivation to do it but it helps. Be sure your doctor knows what is not working for you but be sure you give the meds time to work. We are here for you.
Itsik, I have been like you feel today. Not sure if it's the Zoloft or what. I didn't sleep too good last night. Thundered a lot outside. I have been so sleepy today. No energy. Could anyone tell me the difference between Zoloft and Lexapro? I took Lexapro once and it worked. I was put on celexa, but because I heard it could cause heart problems, I stopped and went on Zoloft. my doctor want give me Lexapro because she said it was just like celexa. I don't know what to do. Been on Zoloft since febr 2013. started out w/25mg, now on 75mg. I am going to see what it does after it's uped to 100mg. which I hope the dr will do that.
