I have been reading that the mesh that is used can disintegrate in your body and cause a lot of pain. I've read so many horror stories and now I am afraid to go ahead with the surgery. Chuck1957, are you there. I know you have helped me in the past. I am not too familiar with the computer but was wondering if you could send me a quick response as to what you think I should do. Thank you so much and I hope that you get this, like I said I am not too computer literate so don't know my way around very well. OK, I will wait and see if I hear from you. Thank you!
Don't believe everything you read either on the internet or ads on T.V.
Anyone can write anything they want whether they know what they are talking about or not. No one writes about the successes. I'm sure there are risks as there are in any surgeries, but that is for the Dr. to answer. Just because one person had a bad experience, it doesn't mean that everyone does. If you haven't asked your Dr. about the pros and cons of having the surgery, do so. All you will get reading what someone else wrote won't help.
I read that also and my Gynecologist who did surgery on me mentioned if I needed it he would use a part from my leg (fascia I think) so that I would not have those problems. I did have my uterus taken out along with lifting everything from the front to the back. Quite a surgery to come back from since I had 5 surgeries in one. It lasted 10 years and now I am incontinent again but it is caused by urgency now which the surgery can cause when you go into that area.
Good luck and take care,
