I recently weaned off of lyrica and am now starting on savella. Lyrica worked at first, but I developed edema. I am mostly concerned about it interfering with sleeping. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I have been taking 100 mg of Savella twice a day, and Provigil, a stimulant for chronic fatigue and fibermyalgia since last May. I feel so much better. You shouldn't drink if you are taking Savella, or at least very moderately. I have been walking and lost a lot of weight, and was able to go off my blood pressure medication I was taking before I started the Savella. I have had insomnia my whole life, and I haven't had any more trouble than I did before. However, I do take a 1/2 of a generic ambien most nights and have done so for years. It gets me to sleep and that is usually enough. If it isn't, I've had a few hours sleep and I live with it. I suppose others feel differently, but I can't say enough good about Savella. Hope this helps.
