newly diagnosed with RA. chronic joint pain. also prescribed methotrexate. wondering if anyone has taken this combo, and or is it safe? It was all prescribed by the same doctor. First med I am trying for the RA.
The following link explains possible interaction between these medications:
If you are on a dosage of bupropion below 450mgs and have no tendency toward seizure activity, you should be ok to take this with the other medications. As you can read taking tramadol with vicodin is not recommended. Incidently, both are addictive and you can't just stop taking, but must taper off slowly over time. Taking methotrexate with the acetaminophen in vicodin can be hard on the liver so be certain to have your liver enzymes checked periodically. Your doctor will order blood work to keep tabs on this.
