my Gf is taking jasmin 21 consecutive days, yesterday was her last day of taking it. is it safe that we have sex today? for how long it will be safe?
One must have at least 7 consecutive active pills then you are considered "safe" to have sex without worry of pregnancy. She will be safe even on the 7 days she is off the pill for her period as long as she has taken the active pills correctly then she needs to start a new pack after the 7 days off if she wants to remain safe. It doesnt matter when she bleeds. Birth control pills stop ovulation-no egg cell is released and without an egg cell, she will not be fertile. As long as she takes the cycle of 21 days of active pills and 7 days off (or 7 inactive pills in a 28 day pack) then starts a new pack continuing with the cycle, she will not ovulate and become fertile so cannot become pregnant..
