My anxiety and depression is really bad just now. 8 weeks ago I suffered a SAH which was coiled but my balance and tinnitus is driving me nuts and I am not leaving my bedroom for the shear fear of the same thing happening again. My GP has prescribed sertraline to try and lift my mood. Any help would be appreciated .
Hi, Topper! There is no disease interaction mentioned in Drug.com's literature and I wouldn't think your doctor would prescribe something if it was dangerous for you.
But since SAH is so uncommon you might want to reiterate your concern with your doctor.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better quickly. Wildcat
Hi, I too suffered a SAH many years ago. Last week my gp prescribed me sertraline as she thought it would lift my mood and help my chronic fatigue. I'm very sensitive to anti-depressants and would rather not take them, but realise I've got myself in to a negative thought pattern and am very depressed. I will start taking sertraline as from tomorrow morning, and suffer the side-effects, if any. Anything to help lift my constant fatigue and morale as I'm quite low. If you happen to read this I would be interested to hear how you are coping now with this med, and were there many side-effects? I wish you a good recovery too!!
