my boyfriend didn't use a condom and wanted to be really sure that I wouldn't get pregnant. I know I didn't need plan b since im already on birth control but he was nervous and so I took one plan b pill once.
NO, The pill is 99% effective, you don't need a condom for protection from pregnancy. Plan B is only 80% effective so what would the point be and the extra hormones would just mess up your cycle and give you side effects. If your bf is nervous then he needs to use a condom, not make you sick with extra hormones.
This is YOUR body and YOU are the one to suffer the side effects of too much hormone and Plan b will likely delay your period and give you pregnancy like side effects form the large blast of hormones which will lead to more anxiety that ever. Regular daily birth control pills are FAR more effective than Plan b! I dont know why everyone has a misconception that Plan b is the be all end all to pregnancy prevention!! It is only 80% effective, at best, where regular birth control when used properly is 98-99.9% effective-that is as effective as tubal ligation-it is just not permanent where tubal ligation is permanent! That is as good as it gets! Only abstinence is 100%!!! If he is so nervous then HE can wear a condom!!
