I am on both tramadol and Vicodin from the same doc. I take the tramadol usually for my pain condition but the Vicodin is rxd for emergencies when tramadol does not cover the pain. I never take them together or above the doses my doc write and taking the Vicodin is rare. But after a few searches I am now nervous. Any thoughts or similar experiences? Thank you!!
Hi freespirit114 (like your username!)
LaurieShay is right on the money, as usual. My doc has prescribed Tramadol along with other pain medication that is stronger than what you are taking, YET, if I were you, I wouldn't take both at bedtime, as there is a rare possibility that you could have respitory (sp) depression. Your body needs to adjust to taking the new medication. That may take a little while. If you only take it sparingly I'm certain that you would be fine. But, like I said, don't take it before bed.
Best wishes to you,
