... work just as good this way compared to taking it daily??
Here are the instructions when taking ropinirole for RLS:
"If you are taking this medicine for RLS, tell your doctor if your symptoms get worse, if they occur in the morning or earlier than usual in the evening, or if you feel restless symptoms in your hands or arms.
It may take up to several weeks before your symptoms improve. Keep using the medication as directed and tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve.
Do not stop using ropinirole suddenly, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Follow your doctor's instructions about tapering your dose."
You can see that they indicate taking it regularly and daily.
My sister and I take Mirepex/pramipexole daily for RLS. My husband and I have found we can take OTC Hyland's "leg Cramps" pills by dissolving them in our mouths and get quick relief of restless or cramping legs. I don't know why it works, but it does. It's up to you and what you need whether you want an occasional help for RLS or whether you need daily help. You also have to have the Dr's. willingness to write a prescription for daily medication.

One precaution about Mirepex: some people gain addictions. They can be to gambling, spending, sex, or whatever. It's not something you want, so you have to monitor yourself for that. Take care.
