I've had rls for 8 years now and im not managing very well i work nights & when i have my break i put my feet up then it all starts.before my nights i like to have a nap again my feet start twitching so I get up.The only dose i take is in the morning after my shifts, can i increase this 1.05 three times a day,its getting to the point that i would rather have my feet amputated than have this for the rest of my life
Here's the thing... I've had major RLS since I was 5 or 6. I'm 61 now and for me it's only gotten worse as I've gotten older. Here's the two things that have changed. First, it's got a name. This means that it's just not some kind crazy going on in my head. There's knowledge as to what works and what might help. Doctors understand RLS. Maybe not the cause or cure but it's much better now then before.
Secondly, there are meds that help. My suggestion is simple... Talk to your doctor!
I've felt like you and I still do. I've wanted to have my feet removed many times (seriously) but then I learned that the problem isn't my feet. Even if I lost both feet the sensations won't go away. It's not crazy in my head but it is caused and helped from there. See your doctor!
