The doctor told me in March is was from a medical trauma I had suffered and it would grow back but take up to 6 months. Well, that never happened. My hairline is receding and losing hair on top... I'm getting so self conscious and want to know if anyone tried Rogaine.
Rogaine is FDA approved for the treatment of genetic hair loss for individuals 18-65. Any use other than this is called "off label."
If you suffered hair loss from medical trauma, this is different than genetic hair loss. Rogaine could be helpful, but it is less consistently helpful in entities other than genetic hair loss.
The main concerns about using Rogaine in individuals over 65 concern the potential increased stress on the cardiovascular system. Coexistent medical issues, especially heart disease, often means Rogaine can't be used. Speak to your doctor about the safety of Rogaine.
