Risperdone/ risperdal? I was already tested for RA and lupus when the doctor found inflammation. They were both negative. I have been on risperdal/ risperdone for over 10 years and I am now 42 years old. I have been treated for schizophrenia for 16 years.
You could try a medicine like Celebrex for osteoarthritis. I have taken it for years with continued success. If the risperidone is working, I wouldn't recommend discontinuing right yet. Treat the symptoms and see what happens.
Tests for RA do not tell if a person has RA. Symptoms tell the truth and a good Rheumatologist knows this. It's called Sero-Negative RA when the blood tests don't show anything but your symptoms do. Find a better Rheumatologist.
