I was diagnosed with PCOS and prescribed to take Emoquette as a treatment. I am usually pretty good with taking it, almost always at the same time and never miss a day. I've had amazing luck with it, and all the symptoms have nearly dissolved, but I was just "warned" that the combination of the hormones from PCOS and the pill can actually RAISE my chances of getting pregnant. Is there any fact to this?
This is news to me. If you look up treatment for pcos it says if you're not looking to get pregnant, low dose birth control pills can be used. That doesn't sound like you're more apt to get pregnant. The purpose of birth control pills is to balance out the androgen production from the pcos. That isn't going to make you pregnant.
